New leaders have been appointed at the enterprises of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
SOCAR told Caspian Barrel that three heads of oil and gas departments have been dismissed from their posts. In addition, two chiefs were replaced in SOCAR offices.
Rovshan Garayev was appointed new Chief Engineer – the First Deputy General Director of the Azneft Production Association (PA). Prior to this appointment, Garayev worked as head of the Gas Storage Facilities Operation Department at Azneft.
Balamirza Agarahimov, a former Chief PA Engineer, currently works as SOCAR Deputy Vice President for Field Development.
Khalig Shafiyev was appointed Head of the Gas Storage Facilities Operation Department at Azneft. Prior to his appointment, he worked as head of the N. Narimanov oil and gas production department (OGPD).
Agil Mammadov, head of the Militarized Anti-fountain Mining and Rescue Service of SOCAR, retired. Iskander Shirali, head of the Trust for Integrated Drilling Operations (TIDO) of the State Oil Company, was appointed to replace him. Alish Hasanov, head of the SOCAR Drilling Department, has become a new head of TIDO.
Ayaz Bagirov was appointed head of Siyazanneft OGPD (he used to work here as Chief Engineer), Fehri Hagverdiyev was appointed head of H.Z. Tagiyev OGPD (he previously headed Bibiheybatneft OGPD), and Salman Aliyev received the post of head of Bibiheybatneft OGPD (he previously served as head of H.Z. Tagiyev OGPD).
According to Caspian Barrel, the posts of head of N. Narimanov OGPD, as well as the head of the SOCAR Drilling Department, are currently vacant.
