Participants of Nord Stream 2 finance 70% of capital costs
According to the head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, the European partners consistently fulfill their obligations.
“All our partners consistently fulfill their obligations. 70% of all capital investments that are necessary for the implementation of the Nord Stream 2 project are practically financed,” Miller said on the Russia 1 TV channel.
Recall, the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline should connect Russia and Germany along the bottom of the Baltic Sea. The project is implemented by Gazprom in alliance with European companies – French Engie, German Wintershall and Uniper, Austrian OMV and British-Dutch Royal Dutch Shell.
By the way, the day before it became known that the second pipe-laying vessel began the construction of Nord Stream 2 in the territorial waters of Germany. It is the vessel Audacia of the company Allseas, which will lay a section of about 38 kilometers.
