Oil and gas companies operating in Azerbaijan transferred AZN 258.8 million of profit tax to the state budget in 2016, Moore Stephens Azerbaijan said in final version its EITI report for 2016.
According to the report, 15 companies paid profit taxes. BP transferred $94.4 million of profit tax to the state budget.Japan Inpex transferred $44.7 million, US Chevron $23.8 million, ExxonMobil $9.2 million.
Nine companies which participate in ACG development transferred $253.3 million in total, other 6 companies paid $5.5 million.
Along with this, AzGerneft transferred AZN 300,000, Zenith Aran Oil Company limited – AZN 4.8 million.
