According to the documents, new tasks for long-term and stable development of the industry require a radical review of the existing organizational structure and the introduction of modern corporate governance methods.
One of the most painful decisions will be the dismissal of 12,000 employees of structural units and subsidiaries of Uzbekneftegaz.
The head of state instructed the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations to assist in the placement of the fired workers.
After the reorganization, the five largest companies included in Uzbekneftegaz will receive an updated list of priority tasks.
In particular, Uzneftegazdobycha will develop deposits and produce oil, gas and gas condensate, Uznefteprodukt – processing hydrocarbons and producing oil products, Uzburneftegaz – drilling and construction of exploration and production wells, Uzneftegazmash – production of oil and gas and chemical equipment.
Uztransgaz will be responsible for providing the population and enterprises of the country with natural and liquefied gas.
The President of the country instructed the company to improve the system of transport main gas pipelines and gas distribution networks, keep strict account of the sold “blue fuel” and the full revenue, take measures to reduce losses and waste of gas, prevent and suppress theft and illegal connection to gas networks.
Also, the head of state approved the decision to create a limited liability company within Uzbekneftegaz. This company, Neftgazexport, will specialize in the export of products of the Uzbek oil and gas industry.
In addition, part of the enterprises are planned to be withdrawn from the structure of Uzbekneftegaz and put up for sale in shares to local and foreign investors.
