Russia has maintained the first place in the world in terms of export volumes of oil and pipeline gas, taking a share in world supplies of black gold at 13.2%, and in deliveries of blue fuel – 18.9%.
Such calculations are given in the statistical review of the world energy industry by the results of 2016, compiled by analysts of the oil and gas concern BP.
In general, Russia produced 11.227 million barrels of oil per day, which is 2.2% higher than in 2015. Russia is the third largest producer after the United States (12.354 million barrels) and Saudi Arabia (12.349 million barrels). Russia’s share in world oil production is 12.2%.

Gas production in Russia grew insignificantly, according to BP estimates – by half a percentage point, to 579.4 Bcm (the share in the world is 16.3%). The largest figure in the United States is 749.2 Bcm.
Gas exports from Russia amounted to 190.8 Bcm, followed by Norway (109.8 Bcm). Exports of LNG from Russia are much lower – 14 Bcm. For comparison: Qatar exported 104.4 Bcm.
The figures in the BP review are close to those published by the RF Ministry of Energy, CDU of the Fuel and Energy Complex and Rosstat, but there are discrepancies in them.
