Azerbaijan State Oil Fund (SOFAZ) will make an investment of 100 million Euros in the Equity Participation Fund of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), SOFAZ reported.
SOFAZ Executive Director Shahmar Movsumov, commenting on the decision, said that investments in the Equity Participation Fund are an extension of the SOFAZ investment strategy involving the use of various financial instruments and diversification of geographical regions.
‘Investments made by the EBRD are characterized by a number of long-term development indicators, which we also focus on. We believe that this investment will bring high returns,’ said Movsumov.
