Gazprom considers inadvisable to reduce gas prices for Belarus, the company exports its oil on the basis of the formula- price of production plus transportation costs, Valerii Golubev, deputy chairman of Gazprom Board, told RIA Novosti.
Belarus Premier Andrei Kobiakov told RIA Novosti that Russian gas price for Belarus should be $80.00 per 1000 cub.m. instead of the current $142.
“We have a very simple formula with Belarus. We take the price of gas extraction in Yamal-Nenezk district and add transportation costs, nothing else. This was included the signed contract. Why do we need to sell gas to Belarus at the price lower, than we are selling it in Russia?” Golubev added.
Golubev specified that at present gas price for Belarus is $132 per 1000 cub.m.
