From May 2008 till the end of January 2016 20 million tons of hydrocarbons has been transshipped via the Kulevi terminal (Black Sea, Georgia) owned by SOCAR, reads web site of the terminal.
“Kulevi oil terminal has been carrying out effective operations in compliance with all international standards and satisfies needs of all the customers. The works are continued to increase volume of transshipment via the terminal,” said the same source.
* SOCAR purchased the terminal in 2006. Its construction was completed in 2008. Since 2008 the terminal was put into operation. The Kulevi terminal is designed to receive, store and ship oil and oil products to the tankers. The carrying capacity of the terminal is 10 million tons of oil and oil products a year.
