During 6 months, 2015 Dragon Oil company (UAE, UK), which has been working mainly in the Turkmenistan sector of the Caspian Sea, increased oil export up to 10.2 million barrels against 5.9 million barrels a year earlier, reported the company.
According to the same source, 87% of oil was exported through Baku port and the remaining volume through Makhachkala.
During this period average daily oil production reached 92.06 barrels against 73.44 barrels during the same period last year.
The basic production sharing agreement (PSA) with the Turkmenistan government was signed in 1999.
The company has been registered at the London and Dublin Stock Exchanges. It has been working mainly in the eastern sector of the South Caspian basin – the contract area Cheleken. Total contract area is about 950 sq.km. and it includes Ceytun, Jigalibek and Chelekenangummez fields.
