The Eastern Partnership summit in Riga will pass the final declaration including the paragraph about support of the Southern Gas Corridor construction by its participants, western diplomatic source told TACC on Thursday.
“Yes, participants of the meeting will support construction bypassing Russia,” he said. The Southern Gas Corridor is the system of the existing gas pipeline and the gas pipelines under construction, which after upgrade must connect EU with the Caspian Sea region through the Caucasian countries bypassing Russia.
It, particularly, includes the trans-Caspian gas pipeline, the Southern Caucasian gas pipeline, trans-Anadolu gas pipeline (TANAP) and the trans-Adriatic gas pipeline (TAP).
