According to the Chinese customs administration, in April 2015 import of Iranian oil increased by almost 11% against previous month and reached the highest level during the past 11 months. It dropped by 11.6% against April 2014.
In April 2015 China imported 2,910,000 tons of crude oil from Iran, which is equivalent to 707,400 barrels of oil a day and in March 2015 this index was down 10.8%.
In 2014 China imported in average 550,000 barrels of oil a day from Iran. This is approximately the same volume of Iranian oil as the country imported till toughening of the anti-Iranian sanctions till July 2012.
During the first 4 months 2015 China imported in average 587,200 barrels of oil a day from Iran, which is about 5% less against the same period last year, reported www.iran.ru.
