In March 2015 oil extraction in the US increased by 13% against the same period in 2014 and totaled 9.32 million barrels a day – a maximum since February 1973, reads the report of the American Petroleum Institute (API).
According to API, last month gas condensate extraction in the US increased by 9.1% up to the record 3 million barrels a day. In March oil deliveries increased by 3.4% against the same period in 2014 – up to 19.2 million barrels a day. During this period the petrol deliveries increased by 2.9%, while distillate supplies dropped by 1.7%. The demand in aviation fuel increased by 1.9%.
In March US oil resources increased by 22% against March 2014 up to 468.7 million barrels – maximum for this month since the 1930. The petrol resources in the US increased by 4.9% up to 231.8 million barrels – maximum for March since 1988.
According to the US Baker Hughes oil and gas company, in March 2015 number of oil and gas production installations decreased by 17.8% to 1,108. The index decreased by 38.5%.
In March the volume of oil refining in the country totaled 15.9 million barrels a day (growth by 3.2%), which is a record for this month of the year. The volume of oil products export increased by 18% – up to 4.6% million barrels a day, which is also a record.
