“Russia will never give up the South Stream project. This is a tactical move of Vladimir Putin and Russia,” said Martin Dimitrov, deputy chairman of the Bulgarian parliament committee.
Re-direction of the gas pipeline through Turkey will triple the project cost making it economically impossible and inefficient. Russia already has Blue Stream project, which passes through Turkey, and it has not been filled yet.
