Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev answered this question in his interview to the Hungarian national TV on November 11.
“As far as our bilateral relationships in the energy field are concerned, today I and Premier and Viktor Orban have discussed this issue and we have good perspectives for cooperation,” added Azerbaijani President.
He said Azerbaijan considered Hungary a partner in field of energy cooperation and considers the routes to transport Azerbaijani gas to Hungary.
“This could be the route Bulgaria-Romania-Hungary or the Ionic Adriatic pipeline, which will be laid through the Balkan countries, and then will go from Croatia to Hungary. We should consider which route is acceptable for all us. Considering the Southern Gas Corridor project, which we have been implementing, and Azerbaijan’s gas resources, I have no doubts that Hungary and Azerbaijan will become partners in the gas industry,” Ilham Aliyev added.
