Iranian Deputy Minister of Industry Mehdi Karbasian said in his interview to ISNA agency that geological exploration works with involvement of Russian specialists will begin in Iran in the coming month.
He said the works will be done on the area of 7,000 sw.km. on the south of Yezd province and on the north of Kerman province.
Karbasian also said that the talks on cooperation in field of geological exploration are conducted with Kazakhstan. The preliminary exchange of opinions on this issue has been already held and the decision will be made during the forthcoming visit of Iranian President to Kazakhstan.
Karbasian added that Iran and Kazakhstan have signed the memorandum of mutual understanding. The meeting with Kazakhstan Ambassador to Iran was held yesterday and the correspondence with the Kazakhstan Ministry is going on. All this allow to suggest that the talks on cooperation in field of iron and zinc ore extraction will be completed during 15 coming days or till the forthcoming meeting between Iranian and Kazakhstan Presidents.
