In 2015 SOCAR plans to put into operation the first gas filling stations in the republic, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev told journalists.
“The government has set this task. Azerigas company jointly with several other companies has started designing the gas filing stations. Next year Baku Bus company will deliver buses running on gas to Azerbaijan. In quarter 1, 2015 the first gas filling stations will be opened in Baku and its suburbs,” Abdullayev said.
He said in 2015 6 gas filling stations will be built in Azerbaijan and their number will be increased every year.
“We plan to build gas filling stations in Azerbaijan at a distance of 180 km away from each other. This will have a good economic and ecological effect. The project turned out to be very effective in Georgia,” he said.
