The first charging station for electric cars was opened on November 12, 2014 in Almaty on the intersection of Dostyk avenue and Mitin street, Almaty.tv reported.
The designer of the first local electric car Tair Balbayev has attended the event.
The owners of electric cars could use the station’s services 24 hours a day.
Cost of full charge of the accumulator is almost 1000 tenge and the required time is about 1.5-2 times. The average run in kilometers with the fully charged accumulator is up to 200 km. The time of run depends on the model of the electric car. Tesla electric cars are able to drive up to 460 km in a certain regime.
“At present share of electric cars constitutes no more than 0.1% of the entire market of cars in Kazakhstan.”
