The Kazakh National Company “KazMunayGas” has not appealed regarding the purchase of Azerbaijani gasoline, SOCAR head Rovnag Abdullayev told reporters Nov. 5.
He said that currently, the country does not export gasoline.
“Gasoline is fully supplied to ensure domestic needs,” he said. “But regarding Kazakhstan, the matter rests in small volumes.”
“If they offer a good price, corresponding to the market price, we can find the volumes and ensure supply,” he said. “These are small volumes, namely 5,000-10,000 metric tons, which we can supply at market prices.”
Earlier, the Kazakh Energy Ministry reported that the country signed an agreement with the “Lanturno Management SA” international company, which will supply fuel from Azerbaijan.
However, the contractor [a company which must ensure supply] has not confirmed its readiness to supply the agreed volumes of Azerbaijani oil products to Kazakhstan. In this regards, they have not been supplied.
