Business-seminar “Role of oil and gas in development of local business in Azerbaijan” has taken place in London, SOCAR reported.
The business-seminar has been organized by the SOCAR office in UK.
Representatives of over 50 British companies, including BP, AMEC, Cameron International, Tenaris Global Services and Technip E&G, took part at the seminar. Rufat Efendiyev, head of the British SOCAR office, described at the event the investment environment in Azerbaijan and spoke about perspectives of investments into the economy of the republic.
During the seminar Peter Roberts, head of BP Global company Acquisition Department, has made a report about the current BP activities and perspectives in the region, head of Penspen company made a report about the concept of Azerbaijan-Georgia-Romania (AGRI) gas pipeline and Yelena Amirkhanova, ERM company’s partner, has made a report about the business activities in Azerbaijan.
Nil Golding, head of the Oil & Gas Division of the Council of Energy Industry, emphasized his interest in expansion of cooperation with the SOCAR representation in UK.
