Reconstruction of the oil refinery in Atyrau district on the west of Kazakhstan will be completed at the end of 2016, chief of Atyrau district Baktykozha Izmukhambetov said at a briefing at the Central Communications Service under Kazakhstan President.
“Reconstruction of the Atyrau oil refinery consists of two stages and the first one will be completed this year. The proejct envisages production of aromatic hydrocarbons, benzol, paraxilol and exylol. The second stage will be completed at the end of 2016 and it envisages deep oil refinining,” he said.
Izmukhambetov also added that all thre oil refineries of Kazakhstan have been undergoing upgrade.
He said that the issue of shortage of high-octane petrols is now under control by the Kazakhstan government.
