The main funds of the investment portfolio of SOFAZ are placed in the US dollars.
By October 1, 2014, SOFAZ’s assets totaled $37,305,300,000, of which 0.01% or $39.6 million is equivalent of AZN and the remaining amount in foreign currency.
The investment portfolio of the Fund totals $37,265,700,000. It includes $20,028,000,000 or 53.8% USD, 34% Euro, 5.1% British pound, 1.2% South Korean won, 1.1% Turkish Lira, 1.1% Russian rubles and 0.5% Australian dollar. The investments into gold constituted 3.2%.
The types of investments are the following: 43.8% resources of the investment portfolio of the Fund are placed in corporate papers, 17.2% in bonds of agencies and international organizations, 18.2% in financial bonds and 9.7% in short-term commercial papers and other instruments.
The geography is the following: 54.11% of resources of SOFAZ’s investment portfolio are placed in the European countries, 22.32% in North America, 12.59% in Asian and Pacific region, 3.69% in South America and a small share falls to other regions of the planet.
A specific weight of investment projects in the investments is small – 0.9%. Majority of the resources – 82.2% are placed in bonds, 7.4% – in deposits and instruments of the monetary market, 3.5% in shares, 3.2% in gold and 2.8% in immovable property.
