Construction of the coastal part of the upper construction of the sleet-proof stationary platform No 1 designed for drilling and operation of wells on Vladimir Filanovski field has been completed in Astrakhan.
LUKoil has already started transportation of the platform to the Caspian Sea, Vladimir Logachev, Deputy General Director for Construction of LUKoil Nizhnevolzhskneft LLC, told journalists.
“Filanovski field is a strategic one for LUKoil company. One of the most important objects on the field will be the platform No 1, which will be used for drilling in 2015. We are currently at the stage of offshore operations, which will begin tomorrow,” Logachev said.
The platform includes the drilling complex for drilling of 11 deviating holes with horizontal end wellbore, operation and energy complexes. The construction weighing 8,000 tons has been already installed on the barge without use of cranes.
The central technological platform, residential module and riser bloc have been already installed on the Filanovski field.
He also added that the company has a wide-scale investment program till 2022. The plans include construction of 25 platforms for development of fields on the north of the Caspian Sea.
Vladimir Filanovski field was discovered in 2005 and it is located on the north of the Caspian Sea, 220 km away from Astrakhan. The extractible oil resources of C1+C2 categories total 153.1 million tons and C1+C2 gas resources – 32.2 billion cub.m.
