Iran’s swap projects could strengthen its relationships with its neighbors, said Abbas-Ali Jafarinasab, Managing Director of the Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company.
He said the high-ranking officials in charge of the oil industry in the country plan to resume the oil swap operations, reported IRNA news agency.
The oil swap operations, which have been suspended for various reasons, must be resumed, because the project will bring economic benefit to the country and strengthen its relationships with the neighbors, added Jafarinasab.
Iranian Oil Minister’s Advisor Mahmud Astanekh said earlier that Oil Industry Ministry has issued a decree to resume the oil swap operations.
In September 2014 Kazakhstan and Iran announced that they could resume the oil swap operations.
