The winning team of the SOCAR Summer School 2014 project, which started on August 4, 2014, will be sent to SOCAR’s plant in Switzerland on a familiarizing visit, said Halik Mammadov, SOCAR Vice President for Personnel and Information Technologies, at the SOCAR Summer School opening.
He said the team that wins the second place will be sent to Turkey and the third place to Georgia.
Mammadov said that this year number of the project participants increased from 36 to 50. But during the period of the project implementation 192 people have gotten the right to take part in the project, which started five years ago.
The program of the School envisages discussions and studies in the fields of geology and geophysics of oil and gas fields, drilling technologies, oil and gas production, transportation and storage, environmental norms and alternative sources of power, oil products sale, formation of oil prices and etc.
The SOCAR Summer School 2014 project will last till August 13, 2104.
