The construction company Neftegasstroi owned by SOCAR has started repair of the offshore foundation No11 on the shallow section of Guneshli field, reads SOCAR’s web site.
“The offshore foundation No 11 has been operated since 1986. The goal of the repair works is to increase the term of operation of the foundation,” said the same source.
By present 67 above-water communication constructions, 1149 sq.m. of floor and 140 beam ceilings have been replaced on the foundation. It is also planned to repair 1141 above-water communication constructions, 5513 sq.m. of floor and 250 beam ceilings.
It is planned to fully complete repair in December 2014. Development of the shallow section of the Guneshli field started in 1980. The field ensures up to 65% of the entire oil production of SOCAR.
