Representatives of local athorities (akimat) will be present at each petrol station in Mangistau district, Alik Aydarbayev, head of local authorities, said at today’s briefing.
BNews.kz quoted him as saying: “We have created a headquarters comprised of representatives of akimat and state agencies of the region. They will control sale of gas only to the individual entrepreneurs, who will not try to sell fuel outside of the region. They will control supply of our petrol stations with gas. We are not going to trust people while selling gas from Kaz gas refinery. Representative of akimat or state agencies will control each gas tanker. They will personally accompany gas tankers to make sure that gas goes to the right place. These are extreme measures.”
The headquarters includes Anuar Chuzhegulov, who is going to visit Kaz gas refiner today, and Suindik Aldashev, head of the headquarters.
“We are going to draw conclusions. Those responsible for this situation will be punished. We will take measures to stabilize the situation,” akim said.
The only petrol stations that did not raise prices for liquefied gas in Mangistau district were the ones owned by KazMunaiGas Onimderi joint stock company (JSC). There are about 13 such petrol stations in the region. In Zhanaozen fuel is sold at the price of 34 tenge per liter and in Aktau – 37 tenge.
