Volga Group’s main owner Gennady Timchenko said in his interview to ITAR-TACC that he is ready to hand over the assets of his investment group to the state.
“I and my wife do not need billions,” Timchenko said and added that he is ready to give everything to the state or donate his assets for charity. “I wish they are used for the common good,” he explained.
Timchenko also described how the sanctions affected him. “Gulfstream company stopped honoring its contract commitments and stopped using my plane, which was pretty expensive. My Gulfstream cannot be used, because the company does not supply it with the spare parts and the pilots have no right to use navigation and built-in maps. The company’s employees are not allowed to communicate with me,” businessman said.
He also said that though the EU did not blacklist him, he cannot visit Europe. “There are reasons to be afraid of provocations of the US security services. This is not a fantasy, this is very real information.”
