Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who arrived in Pavlodar on a working visit yesterday, has familiarized himself with the course of wide-scale upgrade of the Pavlodar petrochemical plant, reported KAZINFORM.
“Upgrade of the plant will allow increasing the volume of refining up to 7 million tons of oil a year, the depth of refining to reach 90%. Quality of the manufactured products will be brought up to Euro 4 and 5 standards,” Danbay Shukhrat, General Director of the Pavlodar petrochemical plant, told President.
The Pavlodar petrochemical plant was put into operation 36 years ago. Its production capacity allowed refining 6 million tons of crude oil a year. It manufactures petrol, fuel for jet engines TC-1, diesel fuel, black oil, oil coke, road and construction bitumen and gas.
