From January to July 2014 aggregate international resources of Kazakhstan, including gold and currency resources of the National bank and the National Fund’s assets, increased from $95,507 billion to $103,754 billion, reported Novosti-Kazakhstan news agency.
“From January to July 2014 National Bank’s gross gold and currency resources increased by 9.23% up to $26,997 billion,” said the same source.
During this period the National Fund’s assets increased by 8.43% up to $76,757,000,000.
OilNews.kz reported earlier that from January to June 2014 total international resources of Kazakhstan increased from $95,507,000,000 to $103,078,000,000.
The National Bank is the central bank of the country is the upper level of the banking system of the republic. All other banks represent the lower level of the banking system, except for the Kazakhstan Development Bank, which has a special legal status. The main goal of the National Bank is to ensure stability of prices in the country.
