Ministry of Energy supports transition of cars from petrol to gas and has been working with the petrol stations to install equipment to fill the cars with liquefied gas, Senior Vice Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Uzakbay Karabalin said at a briefing.
“This year the memorandum has been signed with a big network of petrol stations. We have been working to install the required equipment at the big petrol stations. We have agreed with big networks of petrol stations, such as KazMunaiGas and Helios, for them to install the equipment at their stations,” he said.
Karabalin said that this type of fuel is very advantageous even on such cars as Land Cruiser Jeep and the fuel saving is 30-35%.
“You know, we already have Eco Taxis in our city, which run on liquefied gas and we also have some mini buses in Astana running on liquefied gas. We support that,” concluded Senior Vice Minister.
