SOCAR considers a possibility of adding a new partner into the composition of shareholders of Star oil refinery, construction of which is in progress in Izmir, Turkey, reported Turkish Milliyet newspaper quoting Kenan Yavuz, head of SOCAR Turkey Enerji, Turkish division of SOCAR.
He said the new partner of SOCAR Turkey Enerji in this project could be both local and foreign company.
“The new partner’s share in Star oil refinery will not be above 10-15%,” Yavuz said.
At present the shares are distributed in the project as following: 60% share in Star oil refinery is owned by Rafineri Holding A.S. (100% ownership of SOCAR Turkey Enerji A.S.), which has earlier bought 18.5% share of Turcas Petrol in the project, and 40% share owned by SOCAR.
