During 2013 three production wells on the Shah-Deniz gas condensate field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea have led the list of 29 most productive wells on the fields operated by BP, reads BP’s Stable Development Report for year 2013.
According to the report, three production wells on the Shah-Deniz field with the daily production wells of 46,098 barrels, 46,027 barrels and 44,094 barrels in oil equivalent respectively have occupied the first three places in the list of 29 most productive wells.
Two more wells on the Shah-Deniz field have occupied the 6th and 9th places.
Shah-Deniz field’s resources are estimated at 1.2 trillion cub.m. of gas. The contract for development of Shah-Deniz offshore field was signed on June 4, 1996.
According to the report, 6 wells on the Central Azeri, Western Azeri and deep-water Guneshli, which are a part of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) bloc of fields in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, have occupied the 21st, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th places.
The contract for development of ACG offshore field was concluded in 1994. The proved oil resources of the bloc total about 1 billion tons.
