Mostafa Kashkuli, General Director of Iranian National Company for Oil Products Distribution, emphasized importance of the offshore vessels’ filling with fuel and said that this year it is planned to increase bunkerage up to 4 million tons. Last year about 2.8 million tons of fuel to the amount of $1.5 billion has been sold as a fuel for offshore vessels. Kashkuli specified that last year bunkerage with black oil increase by 31% and with diesel fuel – by 7%.
Kashkuli also note that this year the volume of swap deliveries of oil products must double (the deliveries based on the substitution scheme). During last year the volume of swap deliveries of black oil and liquefied gas totaled 210,000 tons. The deliveries of black oil increased by 173% and liquefied gas by 500% against previous year.
Kashkuli also said that the swap deliveries of oil products have series of advantages for the country and the most important one is that this way Iran expands its presence at the regional markets. Such deliveries bring profit and allow reducing the transportation costs, fuel consumption and wear and tear of transportation as well as reduce number of accidents on the roads, reported www.Iran.ru.
