The first batch of metal for implementation of the Shah-Deniz-2 project was delivered to Baku last week, a source from SOCAR told Caspian Barrel.
The volume of the first batch totaled about 10,000 tons, said the same source.
The main part of metal came from Japan and the other part from Germany.
All pipes, constructions and required modules, parts of the platforms and their foundations for the Shah-Deniz-2 project will be built in Baku. Sheets of metal with various thickness will be delivered to Baku.
The first construction works within the framework of the Shah-Deniz-2 are planned to begin till June 2014.
