Another third issue of Euro bonds is on the agenda of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), SOCAR Vice President for Economic Affairs Suleyman Gasymov told journalists.
He said the issue of bonds is not an urgent issue right now. Gasymov added that SOCAR is going to issue long-term Euro bonds for the period of 30 years. “At present we study the market,” he said.
Asked about the volume of issue, SOCAR Vice President added that it has not been determined yet.
Gasymov said earlier that the volume of Euro bonds will depend on the conditions and demands of the market. It can be between $1.2 and $3 billion. In February 2012 and March 2013 SOCAR placed two issues of Euro bonds to the amount of $500 million and $1 billion.
SOCAR has repeatedly stated that it has been working to issue corporate bonds at the local market of Azerbaijan, but it did not take any concrete steps yet.
