Yesterday 11.00 a.m. Moscow time 100 billion cub.m. of Russian natural gas was delivered to Turkey via the Blue Stream gas pipeline.
In 2013 13.7 billion cub.m. of gas was delivered via the Blue Stream. This is more than half of total volume of Gasprom’s export to Turkey, which in 2013 totaled 26.7 billion cub.m. of gas, reported Gasprom.
In 2012 14.7 billion cub.m. of gas was delivered via the Blue Stream, 27 billion cub.m. total to Turkey.
1213-km-long Blue Stream gas pipeline with the capacity of 16 billion cub.m. of gas a year was launched in December 2002 to deliver gas directly to the Turkish customers via the Black Sea bottom.
Turkey is the second biggest market of Gasprom in Europe after Germany.
