In January 2014 State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 322,996 tons of Azerbaijani oil via the western route Baku-Supsa oil pipeline. Export via this pipeline increased by 33.3% against January 2013.
According to SOCAR, in 2013 2,725,099 tons of profitable oil of Azerbaijan and SOCAR was transported via the Baku-Supsa pipeline.
* Baku-Supsa oil pipeline was put into operation on April 17, 1999. The oil pipeline is 837 km long and its diameter is 530 km. At present carrying capacity of the pipeline is 105,000 barrels a day. It was built as a part of the contract for development of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields.
