SOCAR’s employee drowned in water reservoir

Gabib Huseynov, employee of Narimanovneft oil and gas Production company, part of SOCAR, has died while performing his duties, said Mirvari Gakhramanly, head of the Organization for Protection of Oilmen’s Rights.
He has fallen into the water reservoir and drowned. “The fact that the oilman died while performing his duties once again shows that safety standards are not observed in SOCAR. Last year five employees of SOCAR’s companies died,” Gakhramanly said.
Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the oilman’s death on February 4, 2014.
