Foreigners in Azerbaijan made transactions with bank cards worth $1 billion

Foreign citizens who visited Azerbaijan in January-October 2022 carried out transactions through bank cards in the amount of 1 billion 819.1 million manats ($1.07 billion).

This was reported by Interfax-Azerbaijan with reference to data from the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Government Communications.

Compared to January-October 2021, the volume of banking operations in Azerbaijan performed by foreign citizens increased by 1.9 times.

At the end of 2021, foreign citizens in Azerbaijan made transactions through bank cards in the amount of 1.3 billion manats ($764.7 million), which is 3 times more than in 2020.
