Kazakhstan, following the results of the past month, fulfilled its obligations by 162% under the OPEC + deal, which provides for a reduction in oil production, reported on Tuesday the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic.
“The fulfillment of Kazakhstan’s obligations under the OPEC + agreement in September 2021 amounted to 162%,” the message says. The country’s quota last month was 1.508 million barrels per day.
The department does not report absolute data on oil production in September. It is known that Kazakhstan’s obligations under the OPEC + agreement on production in April amounted to 1.457 million barrels per day, or minus 15% of the base level of 1.709 million barrels per day in November 2018. According to the OPEC + agreements, in May this year the republic began to increase oil production.
