Manages field engineering teams in charge of supporting the construction of an entire facility (whole project or portion of project) up to the scheduled completion, in accordance with project engineering specifications, site requirements, Contractor QHSES corporate policies, contractual commitments (design data, codes, classes etc.), schedule, and budget.

•Critically reviews interfaces with all field disciplines giving technical clarification to construction subcontractors.

•Deals with both technical and economical/scheduling aspects of project change orders in construction phase.                                                    

•Hierarchically reports to: Engineering Department Head.

•Operationally reports to: Project Manager and Site Manager.

•Directly supervises (operationally): Project engineers, Lead Discipline Engineers.

•Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.

•Represents Contractor towards clients, partners, subcontractors and vendors for technical subjects on site.

•Ensures technical project execution on site by:

– Coordinating and supervising field engineers.

– Monitoring compliance with contractual requirements, engineering specifications and Contractor QHSES requirements.

– Managing change orders requested by site management from technical solution to on site implementation.

•Ensures coordination of interfaces among field engineering disciplines and with site supervision, home office engineering resources, site procurement, clients, vendors, licensors, and partners.

•Defines engineering coordination procedures on site and supports local procurement activities.

•Actively controls schedule execution and proposes corrective actions when needed.

•Ensures timely internal and external reporting on site engineering / requisitioning activities.

•Contributes to respect of material and man/hours budget by proposing optimized technical solutions and monitoring impacts of change orders on budget.

•Contributes to defining and coordinating permitting process with local authorities to obtain approval on engineering documents.

Required work experience:

– At least 15 years experience as Engineering Manager

– Experience in Oil & Gas Industrial and in Petrochemical Projects including Ethylene Technology

– Experience in coordinating engineering procedures and supporting local procurement activities.

– Experience in the design, construction, assembly and maintenance of large, complex equipment

– Experience in basic design, detail engineering and site services, for Oil & Gas Sectors(On-shore/Offshore Upstream Facilities, Refining), Pipelines, Petrochemical & Chemical Plants; – Experience in Subcontracting coordination, Construction Supervision, and Contract Management.                                                                                       – Experience in construction, assembly and maintenance of large, complex equipment.                                                                                                   – Experienced in preparation Construction Reports.                                           

 – Experienced in managing field engineering teams in charge of supporting the construction of an entire facility (whole project or portion of project) up to the scheduled completion, in accordance with project engineering specifications, site requirements, Contractor QHSES corporate policies, contractual commitments (design data, codes, classes etc.), schedule, and budget.                                                             

– Experienced in contributes to respect of material and man/hours budget by proposing optimized technical solutions and monitoring impacts of change orders on budget.

Education:

– Engineering Degree

Essential skills:

– Strong knowledge of “Technip Quality Standards”                                            

– Strong knowledge of Technip HSE policy                                                           

– Team leadership skills (to be able to keep the workers focused on the job and to increase their efficiency to deliver the project within the deadline given).

– Commercial awareness

Desirable skills:

– Good written and spoken English and Italian                                                       

– Coaching & Mentoring Skills                                                                                 

– Teamworking skills
