Position: Contracts Administrator

General Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Understand and Comply with BOS Shelf QHSE System & Policies.
  2. Strictly follow instructions from his / her line Supervisor.
  3. Work closely with colleagues in providing required interpretation of contracts and agreement terms and conditions and escalating matters to Senior Contracts Manager and/or Legal Counsel for review and consideration
  4. Administration of construction subcontracts
  5. Reply to all subcontractors’ letters
  6. Review and approve the monthly invoices
  7. Review and negotiate all variation requests
  8. Prepare amendments to subcontracts
  9. Reply to subcontractors’ claims
  10. Close-out of subcontracts
  11. Interface between the client and the contractor.
  12. Interact with other departments and/or Disciplines
  13. Prepare weekly and monthly reports

Specific Prime Requirements:

Position/Role Description

The Contract Administrator will be assigned as a minimum to complete the following tasks:

  • Ensure the PMT reports and notifies obligations in accordance with the contract
  • Identify and notify client changes in the scope of work
  • Receive and coordinate response to all contractual correspondence
  • Attendance and minuting of Project Meetings
  • Measure completed as-built VARIATIONS to the WORK
  • Evaluate cost and time impact of changes to the scope of work
  • Compile the various components that together comprise an estimate for submission to the client
  • Monitor and report costs for various parts of the work
  • Harvest data to support norms for estimating purposes
  • Verify and approve 3rd party estimates
  • Monitor and report costs for 3rd party services

Candidate Profile Requirement

The candidate should possess the following background and experience:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in field of Marine and Subsea fabrication, offshore experience would be an advantage
  • A qualification in a commercial subject
  • Experience with contracts and or legal documents
  • Some experience of compiling scope of work documents
  • Experienced in planning and reporting progress of work
  • Good communication skills

 The Candidate must exhibit the following skills and abilities:

  • Must be able to work independently and showing initiative in project issue resolution
  • Experience with analyzing a scope of work and associated schedule
  • Experience with interfacing with 3rd party service providers and suppliers
  • Experience with analyzing large volumes of data and producing reports
  • Strong competence with spreadsheets such as excel
