Oil Production at Kashagan Amounted to 12 Million Tons

Oil production at the Kashagan field for January-November amounted to 12 million tons, Energy Minister Kanat Bozumbayev said.

“Already in 11 months, 12 million tons has been fulfilled,” K. Bozumbayev told reporters, answering a question about the volume of production at Kashagan in Astana last Tuesday.

In 2017, 8.35 million tons of oil was produced at Kashagan.

The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan expects that oil production at the Kashagan field will amount to 13 million tons in 2018. Kashagan is the first offshore oil and gas field in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea, as well as the largest international investment project in the country.
