Uzbekistan is discussing issue of increasing tariffs for electricity and gas. This was announced at a meeting of the International Press Club.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that gas and electricity prices for individuals can be increased by 10%.
Odil Temirov, deputy chairman of the board of Uzbekneftegaz, said that at present, the issue of increasing gas prices is being discussed jointly with the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance.
According to him, the cost of 1 cubic meter of natural gas for population can grow from 289.7 to 320 soums (10%) and for enterprises up to 600 soums.
At the same time, the cost of 1 kWh of electricity can be increased from 228.6 soums to 250 soums (9.4%) for individuals and up to 470 soums for legal entities.
