In the first half of this year, Kazakhstan increased oil and gas condensate production by 6.2% to 45.2 million tons compared to the same period last year.
This was announced on Tuesday by Kazakh Energy Minister Kanat Bozumbayev at a government meeting, Kazakh media reported.
“Three major projects produced 27.2 million tons of oil, including 6.2 million tons at the Kashagan field, 14.7 million tons at Tengiz, and 6.3 million tons at Karachaganak,” the Minister said.
According to Bozumbayev, the total volume of oil exports from Kazakhstan amounted to 36.5 million tons, which is six percent more than in the same period last year.
We note that the government of Kazakhstan predicts that in 2018 oil and condensate production will amount to 87 million tons.
