Commissioning of auxiliary equipment was started at the largest gas chemical enterprise for the production of gasoline from natural gas, which is being built in Ovadandepe.
Currently, tests of water purification systems, equipment for the production of compressed air for instrumentation.
The construction of GCC is carried out in accordance with the contract signed by the state Concern “Turkmengas” with a consortium of companies, which includes “Kawasaki Heavy Industries” (Japan) and “Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri Inşaat Sanaýi ve Ticaret A. Ş.» (Turkey.)
The new plant for the production of high-quality gasoline from gas will make a significant contribution to the economic development of the country. Equipped with the latest equipment from world manufacturers and technology from the Danish company “Haldor Torso” the company will annually process 1,785 billion cubic meters of natural gas and produce 600 thousand tons OF gasoline Ron-92, which meets the environmental requirements of Euro-5. It is also planned to produce 12 thousand tons of diesel fuel and 115 thousand tons of liquefied gas per year.
After the commissioning of the gas-chemical complex will provide employment for about 700 people. Construction work will be completed in August. And it is planned to put the enterprise into operation in December 2018.
In January 2018, the President of Turkmenistan visited the plant being built in Ovadandepe, got acquainted with the technological characteristics of the enterprise and made proposals to improve its economy. Taking an interest in the technological features of gas processing and production of a-92 gasoline, the head of state instructed to provide opportunities for the production of another a – 95 gasoline in the development of the second stage of the complex.
The President also made adjustments to the system of transportation of finished products for consumers. According to the project, the construction of Railways and highways to the plant is provided for its delivery. In this context, the President instructed to accelerate the construction of the steel highway. At the same time, it was noted that the transportation of petroleum products by rail and then by sea through the Caspian sea is the most cost-effective way of delivering finished products to consumers, including its exports.
Currently, gasoline in the country is produced Turkmenbashi oil refineries complex and Seidi oil refinery. The volumes produced fully meet the needs of the domestic market. Small volumes of fuel are exported.
In may 2017, the catalytic reforming unit LCH-35-11/1000 was put into operation at the Seida refinery. It is designed for the annual production of 412 thousand tons of high-octane gasoline component a-98, 25 thousand tons of extreme gasoline used in the food industry, 15 thousand tons of liquefied gas, 23.5 thousand tons of gas used in furnaces, as well as 17 thousand tons of gas with hydrogen impurities.
The component of A-98 high-octane gasoline produced at the new plant will be the basis for the production of a – 95, a – 92 and a – 80 motor gasoline conforming to Euro-5 standards.
In 2017, the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan exceeded the plan for the production of gasoline by 1.4 percent, and diesel fuel – by 0.3 percent.
