Iran and Russia to create Joint Venture to build gas pipeline to India

Russia and Iran will set up a joint venture to implement the Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told journalists.

“It’s about creating a joint company. The details will be worked out, but this project will be implemented jointly,” Novak said.

The Russian minister also said that Moscow and Tehran will work out the details of the gas supply swap within two weeks.

“This issue is being discussed. The Iranian side took a break and offered to work out the details within two weeks,” Novak said.

According to him, after a two-week period, a meeting will take place, at which the feasibility study and the possibilities of supply can be discussed.
