PJSC Ukrtatnafta is preparing to take on the processing at the Kremenchug refinery of the first batch of Azerbaijani Azeri Light oil in the amount of 80 thousand tons that arrived in Ukraine in late December 2016, the company said.
In general, Ukrtatnafta, which is the operator of the Kremenchug refinery, expects that the total volume of such deliveries to the company in 2017 will reach 1.3 million tons.
“This project is made possible thanks to agreements between the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Ukraine to restore the supply of Azerbaijani oil to Ukrainian refineries,” the report says.
SOCAR is the oil supplier.
“Since October last year, SOCAR has already been supplying Iranian gas condensate to PJSC Ukrtatnafta. In 2016 thanks to the implementation of the overall project for the diversification of energy supplies, Ukrtatnafta increased its refining by 11 percent, and it initially plans to increase the refining by more than 41 percent,” the statement says.
As the company says, thanks to the implementation of the project, the download of the Kremenchug refinery and the volume of oil transportation via the oil pipelines of JSC Ukrtransnafta will increase.
