Moscow and Astana are developing common electricity market programs, said Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, RIA Novosti reported Oct. 15.
“Programs are being developed to create a common electricity market of Russia and Kazakhstan,” said Putin after talks with his Kazakh counterpart.
“We are preparing for construction of Kazakhstan’s first-ever nuclear power plant,” Russian president added.
He also noted that the project to expand and reconstruct the Ekibastuz GRES-2 Power Plant is in full swing.
