A gas chemical complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene is built in the village Kiyanly (Balkan region, Turkmenistan). They have already implemented 90 percent of the work, the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan says.
They have erected overpasses, laid aboveground and underground pipelines in the technological process scheme.
They have also constructed storage tanks for water, hydrocarbon storage tanks, most of the buildings and structures.
The laying of electrical cable lines, grounding and cathodic protection system continues.
The project is implemented by a consortium of TOYO Engineering Company (Japan), LG International Corporation and Hyundai Engineering Corp. Ltd (South Korea).
The plant is designed to process 5 bcm of natural gas for the production of 386 thousand tons of polyethylene and 81 thousand tons of polypropylene per year.
